Customs, Duties & Taxes

Before August 29, 2025: Parcels valued under USD $800 are usually duty-free under US customs rules.

From August 29, 2025 onwards: The USA will introduce new customs regulations. This may mean duties and taxes are charged on all shipments, regardless of value.

OWN IT is not responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes that may be applied by US authorities.

Where available, we will offer a Delivered Duties Paid (DDP/PDDP) service, allowing duties to be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery.

Delays & Responsibility

While we do everything possible to ensure timely delivery, customs inspections or courier delays are beyond our control.

OWN IT is not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control (e.g., customs, strikes, weather).

Returns:

• WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR RETURNS OR EXCHANGES. IT IS IN THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER TO PAY FOR SHIPPING INTERNATIONALLY AND DOMESTICALLY.

• If you wish to exchange or return your item(s), please initiate the process within 14 days of receiving your parcel. Please note that any returns beyond this 14-day window will not be eligible for refunds or exchanges.

• To ensure a successful exchange or return, kindly ensure that the items are returned in their original condition and packaging. Failure to do so may result in deductions from any refund that is due (subject to conditions).

• All refunds will be issued with a 15% deduction for admin costs.

• Exchanges will be processed within 5-7 working days upon receiving the returned item(s).

• Refunds will be issued within 7 working days upon receiving the returned item(s).

• Kindly be advised that in the event of receiving back stained, smelly or damaged item(s), a maintenance fee 30% (subject to damage assessment) may be applied, or a refund could possibly be declined if the damage is irreversible.
